Tell us what you're building.

Working on generative design, CAD automation, AI for engineering workflows, or a Synera add-in? You're in the right place.

We'll never share your information.

Partnering & teaming

Three ways we plug into your program.

Small, senior, NASA-trained — Pathfinder Labs teams with primes, labs, and engineering orgs that need a generative-design or CAD-automation specialist on a specific scope.

Subcontract to primes

Drop-in generative-design and optomechanical expertise on a specific deliverable — bracketry, mounts, harnesses, inspection tooling. We sign your NDA, work to your DRs, and hand over a machinable part.

Good fit when…

  • A sub-scope is blocking a milestone
  • You need weight or stiffness bought back fast
  • Your team is saturated on core work

IR&D & research collabs

Joint IR&D on AI-for-engineering, generative methods, and CAD-automation research — including the work that produced T2S-1 on BOOP with NASA Goddard. Publish, patent, or ship.

Good fit when…

  • You have a thesis worth a 12-week push
  • You want a tangible artifact, not a slide deck
  • NASA SBIR/STTR or prime IR&D money is on the table

Co-develop internal tooling

Build a Synera add-in, an LLM design copilot, or a CAD/PLM automation pipeline specific to your team's standards. You own the IP; we leave documentation, tests, and a maintenance plan.

Good fit when…

  • The same task recurs across dozens of designs
  • Your tool doesn't exist on any marketplace
  • You want the speed of a product team without hiring one

Working a different shape than the three above? Use the form above and name "partnership" as the project type — small scopes often uncover the right fit.

Before you write

Common questions.

Didn't see yours? Ask in the form — the real answer is better than a generic one here.

What size engagements does Pathfinder Labs take?

Anything from a one-week generative-design sprint to multi-quarter platform work. Most engagements land between 2 and 12 weeks of focused effort.

Who owns the IP?

By default, client-specific deliverables are your IP; underlying methods and generic tooling stay ours. We adapt to your preferred framework — full assignment, work-for-hire, or shared — and call it out in the proposal.

Do you sub to primes or team on federal work?

Yes — both. Subcontracting to primes on generative-design or engineering-automation scopes, and teaming on NASA SBIR/STTR and prime IR&D. Mention "partnership" in the form and we'll route accordingly.

NDAs, ITAR, export control?

Happy to sign NDAs before the first call — tick the box on the form. For ITAR-controlled or export-restricted scopes, flag it up front so we can confirm the engagement model and data handling before anything sensitive changes hands.
